Appleton Historical Society was formed in 2010 as an all-volunteer non-profit.  Appleton Historical Society’s outreach includes educating the public through twice-yearly Appleton History Fairs; Facebook sharing; Riverside Cemetery Walks; and free monthly meetings, which include a guest speaker presenting topics relating to the history of Appleton.

In 2017, AHS opened the Appleton Historical Society Museum and Research Center at 128 N. Durkee.  The museum features a map room, research space, and rotating exhibits of Appleton’s history.

Our mission is to preserve and share the history of the City of Appleton.
